Curriculum Vitae As "Amitola" means "rainbow" in Native American and is a symbol of balance with all the colours in perfect harmony, so the body may potentially be brought back into balance by using natural therapies. I became interested in nutrition when I discovered that a skin condition for which I had been receiving medical treatment responded better to changes in my diet than to the harsh creams that had been prescribed. I looked into the dietary aspect a little further and started to realise just how many different health problems could respond to something as simple as food choices. I spent three years studying under Jackie Day (Naturopath) through the Natural Healthcare College, during which time I completed the Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist course. During this time I became interested in a wider range of natural therapies and so also studied diplomas in Iridology and Herbal Advice To gain full qualification I undertook lengthy clinical practice in both Nutritional Therapy and Iridology. My studies are ongoing and, as well as working towards gaining Naturopath status, I have completed relevant science courses offered by the Open University. I also attend seminars and read relevant books and publications whenever possible. I am a full member of:
